“All Eyes” on Our Jersey Girls!
__________
Just hours before “Team Hurley” from Toms River High School East began on their journey to Huntington Beach, CA for the US Open of Surfing, where they were chosen amongst only four other schools in the nation to compete in Hurley’s high-fashion “Walk the Walk” competition – they made a stop at face to fase for some runway-ready lashes.
__________
Our Jersey girls (and guys) looked and performed amazingly in their “catwalk meets boardwalk” procession.
__________
Adding to their “boardwalk” theme were some cleverly made over-sized props that the new grads constructed out of paper mache, in the form of all Jersey’s favorite beach-side delicacies – ice cream cones, cotton candy, fries, pizza, pretzels and of course stuffed animal prizes.
__________
Among the tens of thousands watching their performance were celebrity judges Lauren Conrad from The Hills, new cast members from 90210, Bob Hurley himself, and others.
__________
Hard work got them there…originality made them stand out…and their good looks proved to be a tough competition…
…because it is widely known that no one compares to an East Coast Jersey Girl!
So, this competition proves that we are in a category all our own!

CONGRATULATIONS ON A GREAT JOB TO YOU ALL!!!

National Fashion Show
Toms River High School East “Walks the Walk” In The World’s Biggest High School Fashion Competition…And We Are Helping Them Get Runway-Ready!
__________
__________
The dedicated, participating students in this national design competition supported by Hurley (as well as Converse and SkullCandy) have spent months upon months of online video challenges, advertising campaigns, social/viral marketing and voting – where clearly, all of their hard work has paid off…
__________
Not only have they won their bracket, but HS East has acquired the MOST VOTES IN THE NATION, and have been invited to the final round of “Walk the Walk” at the US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, California this August!!!
__________
As 1 of 5 finalists, HS East, with an audience of tens-of-thousands and celebrity judges; will be creating their own 5 minute fashion show and compete on the runway for the grand prize of $25,000.
__________
All of the committee members have collectively come up with a vision for their theme, and I am happy to assist them in pulling their look together with makeup.
__________
Being a former Raider, I am SO PROUD of all of their accomplishments and am thrilled to be involved with their exciting final project!
__________
Keep up the great work!!! And I’ll see you girls again soon…!!!

Downtown TR’s 8th Annual Ice Cream Festival
__________
As a self-proclaimed frozen treat connoisseur, I would never pass-up a day completely devoted to ice cream…!
__________
And, as member of the Promotions Committee for the Downtown Toms River Business Improvement District, I was more than happy to be involved in this year’s 8th Annual Ice Cream Festival – located on Washington Street, right at face to fase’s doorstep.
__________
Along with a number of our committee member volunteers, I joined a large group of T.E.A.M. students from all of the Toms River High Schools, in an all-day “scoop fest” in preparation prior to the event on Saturday July 17th.
__________
It was a beautiful and successful day for us in Downtown TR; and I would like to PERSONALLY THANK ALL of our clients and friends who braved the heat to come down to support and visit us at our table.
__________
As always, we appreciate each and every one of you!!!

A “Sweet” Story…
Face to fase for the entire family!
__________
At face to fase, we cater to Weddings – but, this does not just include the Bride and Bridal party…
A number of our clients are Wedding attendees who want not only to relax, but to look and feel refreshed before the long day that awaits them…
Men and women included!

Susan and Stan Hordych; owners and operators of Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe in Middletown, along with their daughter Cassie, recently attended a family Wedding; but did not arrive at their destination before they came to our Spa – where the girls got their makeup done, and Stan chose an hour-long facial treatment to de-stress.
__________
Those who attended the “Grand Opening” of face to fase in August of last year are very familiar with Susan and Stan’s creations.
Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe’s makeup-shaped chocolates were a huge (and delicious) hit!
And- we are happy to announce that we will be carrying those same mouth-watering, makeup-y treats for sale this Summer in our Studio.
__________
Susan and Stan are very involved in the community and were voted “Best of Monmouth 2010.”
On June 7th, they attended the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s “Visions of Hope” Gala, where actor and comedian Joe Piscopo was honored as Humanitarian of the Year.
Immensely deserving of the award, Joe has devoted much of his time to non-profit organizations, and took it upon himself to find the “Positive Impact Foundation” which creates positive media for at-risk youth.
__________
Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe was a generous donor to the award show gift bags of the NJ Hall of Fame this May, and after offering her chocolates to its celebrity recipients , Susan had the pleasure of presenting Mr. Piscopo with her confections for a SECOND time at the MDA ball…this time, in person!
Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe is located at 1100 Highway 35, Village Mall Plaza, Middletown.
